Products Features

Excellent high-temperature creep rupture strength
A higher carbon content (0.06-0.10%) and optimized Al+Ti precipitation strengthening, INCOLOY 800HT performs significantly better than 800H during long-term service above 850°C, making it particularly suitable for ultra-high-temperature pressure-bearing components with extreme creep life requirements.

Excellent high-temperature oxidation and carburization resistance
The high chromium content (19-23%) combined with aluminum and titanium elements enables the alloy to form a dense oxide layer in oxidizing atmospheres up to 1100°C, providing excellent oxidation and carburization resistance. It is suitable for harsh environments such as hydrocarbon cracking and conversion.

Stable organization and good processability
Exhibits excellent microstructural stability without forming harmful phases (such as the sigma phase) under prolonged high-temperature service. It can be cold and hot worked, formed, and welded using conventional processes, making it suitable for manufacturing complex structural components such as radiant section furnace tubes, manifolds, and high-temperature heat exchangers.

Corrosion resistance stability over a wide temperature range
It remains stable in high-temperature oxidizing, carburizing, and nitriding atmospheres, and also exhibits good resistance to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous media (such as high-temperature and high-pressure water). Its applicable temperature range spans from low temperatures up to approximately 1100°C.

High-temperature performance
Exhibits excellent oxidation resistance in oxidizing atmospheres below 1100°C. Continuous use temperature can reach up to 1100°C, and for intermittent use, it is recommended not to exceed 980°C.
Creep Rupture Strength (the core indicator where 800HT outperforms 800H): Typical values (rupture strength at 1000 hours):
700°C: Approximately 65 MPa (superior to 800H's 60 MPa);
800°C: Approximately 35 MPa (superior to 800H's 30 MPa);
900°C: Approximately 18 MPa (superior to 800H's 15 MPa).
Carbon and Nitrogen Resistance Properties: With high chromium content combined with aluminum and titanium, it effectively slows down the penetration of carbon and nitrogen, making it suitable for high-temperature equipment in harsh atmospheres such as radiation sections of ethylene cracking furnaces and ammonia conversion furnaces.
Applicable Media:
High-temperature air, combustion flue gases
Carburizing atmospheres (e.g., hydrocarbon pyrolysis)
Nitriding atmospheres
High-temperature and high-pressure water (nuclear reactor coolant)
Sulfur-containing atmospheres (corrosion risk due to pitting should be noted)
INCOLOY 800HT is specifically designed for extreme high-temperature creep service conditions and is recommended for use in the following areas at operating temperatures of 870-1000°C:
