Incoloy 800H

Incoloy 800H

INCOLOY 800H is a nickel-iron-chromium-based solid-solution strengthened alloy with added aluminum and titanium, designed for high-temperature environments. It exhibits excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, carburization, and creep. The alloy maintains good microstructural stability and mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, and is widely used in high-temperature applications such as petrochemical processing, heat treatment, power generation, and industrial heating.

Products Features

High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance

Excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and carbon penetration resistance

The high chromium content (19-23%) combined with aluminum and titanium elements enables the alloy to form a dense oxide film in oxidizing atmospheres up to 1100°C, providing excellent oxidation and carburization resistance. It is suitable for equipment such as high-temperature furnace tubes and cracking tubes.

High-Temperature Corrosion Resistance

Good high-temperature creep rupture strength

Ntrolling the carbon content (0.05-0.10%) and grain size (ASTM 5 or coarser), INCOLOY 800H exhibits high creep rupture strength above 600°C, making it suitable for long-term high-temperature pressure-bearing applications.

High Stability

Excellent machining and welding properties

It can be cold and hot worked, formed, and welded using conventional processes. Preheating is not required during welding, and post-weld heat treatment is generally unnecessary. It is suitable for manufacturing complex structural components such as reformer tubes, heat exchangers, and manifold systems.

Good Processability

Corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range

T remains stable in high-temperature oxidation, carburizing, and nitriding atmospheres, while also exhibiting good resistance to stress corrosion cracking in aqueous media such as high-temperature and high-pressure water. Its applicable temperature range spans from low temperatures up to approximately 1100°C.

Oxidation Resistance:

It exhibits excellent oxidation resistance in oxidizing atmospheres below 1100°C. Continuous use temperature can reach up to 1100°C, while intermittent use is recommended not to exceed 980°C.

Creep Rupture Strength:

Typical Value (Rupture Strength at 1000 Hours):

700°C: Approximately 60 MPa

800°C: Approximately 30 MPa

900°C: Approximately 15 MPa

Arbon and Nitrogen Resistance Properties: With high chromium content combined with aluminum and titanium, it effectively slows down the penetration of carbon and nitrogen, making it suitable for high-temperature equipment in harsh atmospheres such as ethylene cracking furnace tubes and ammonia conversion furnaces.

Pplicable Media:

High-temperature air, combustion flue gases

Carburizing atmospheres (e.g., hydrocarbon pyrolysis)

Nitriding atmospheres

High-temperature and high-pressure water (nuclear reactor coolant)

Sulfur-containing atmospheres (corrosion risk due to pitting should be noted)
