Inconel 686

Inconel 686

INCONEL 686 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly excelling in strongly reducing and oxidizing environments. This material demonstrates outstanding resistance to localized corrosion in harsh chemical processing, pollution control, marine engineering, and acidic gas environments. It is widely used in applications such as flue gas desulfurization, chemical reactors, offshore platforms, and acidic oil and gas fields.

Products Features

High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance

Outstanding Comprehensive Corrosion Resistance

It exhibits extremely strong resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It remains stable in strong acids (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid), acidic gases (such as H₂S, CO₂), and oxidizing media, with performance far exceeding that of ordinary nickel-based alloys.

High-Temperature Corrosion Resistance

High Strength and Fatigue Resistance

Through solid solution strengthening with molybdenum and tungsten, it maintains good strength and fatigue resistance at both room and high temperatures, making it suitable for high-stress, alternating load conditions.

High Stability

Excellent Machining and Welding Performance

It has good cold and hot working properties as well as welding performance, and can be processed into various forms such as plates, strips, bars, wires, and tubes to meet complex industrial requirements.
